Clay

Our major activity for Tuesday was working with polymer clay.

After creating sculptures and baking them until hard, the girls painted them.



Sunny decided to sculpt the life cycle of a butterfly. She started with a caterpillar . . .


Then moved on to a chrysalide (getting up from her chair frequently to look at the real ones that we had, for the sake of accuracy) . . .

And finally a beautiful butterfly!

Sunny also created this . . .


Josephine followed Sunny's lead and also created a caterpillar . . .

. . . as well as a pretzel, and a rock (which now rests proudly in our garden)!

. . . but what Ida really enjoyed was painting the paper underneath her sculptures!
